Antique tools – spokeshave #86. Up for sale is an extremely rare Bailey Tool Company flat bottomed Spokeshave. Very handy tool for shaping chair legs, spindles etc. Cast iron body with steel blade. Not many of Seldon Baileys Spokeshaves around, they are quite hard to come by, the Bailey Tool Co started making planes in 1872 & were taken over by Stanley in 1880. The ruler & Redhead box of matches in the photos are for a size comparison only, not for sale. This Spokeshave is in authentic vintage condition, a near full blade with the battle axe logo & B. T. Co, some japanning loss, it’s a good tool. Please check the photos as they are part of the description.
