Still retains most of the original, but dirty plating. One knob has a tight hairline crack and a couple small chips in the base. Missing the shoe from throat closing attachment. Casting blemish on the sole at a screw hole, otherwise it’s pitting free. Good condition, fairly clean. Correct 1 ¾ Stanley Rule & Level Co. Blade with two patent dates: Apr. 18, 1876 and Reisd Mar. Later version of the Type 1 with the dovetails factory stamped with a June 17, 79 patent date. Some light pitting on the sole, mostly toward the rear. It still retains most of the original japanning and the nickel on the knobs. Later type 1 ¾ Stanley blade with an APL. 19, 92 patent date. One dovetail is factory stamped with a June 17, 79 patent date. The bare metal has been cleaned at one time, some light pitting on the sole, arms and plane irons. The knobs have been cleaned of the nickel, the large knob has been over cleaned.
