9 Steel miter hand plane made by Lie-Nielsen Tool Works. Unused earlier steel model. The total length of the sole measures 10 7/8″ long with a 2″ iron. Superb Cherry knob handle and side knob. As shown in the photos the side knob will screw to the right or to the left side. As shown in the photos the cutting iron has several small rust stain spots as well as 2 or 3 on each side of the body. Having years of age, the bronze lever cap and other bronze fittings have started to take on a nice patina. They were well cared for and kept in a custom built cabinet. 4 Smoothing Hand Plane (Iron). It still for the most part has the shine of a like new plane given it’s practically unused, but it does have a quick secondary bevel on the blade from toying around with it after receiving it and wear from being around my shelves over the last year (a couple light scratches that’d likely buff out and a few bruises on the finish of the back of the rear tote). I believe it was produced circa 2002 (I acquired it as a part of an estate collection that had several with receipts dating to 2002). Happy to answer any questions!
