For sale is one Klein 33527 General Purpose Insulated Toolkit 22 Piece Electrician Tool Set. Kit has been used but is still in great condition. The cutting edges are still in great shape. Some of the handles have a few small black discoloration marks from use but that is just cosmetic. The metal tips have some light scratching but the edges are still sharp and all the tools would still function great. The case has some discoloration spots but still is in amazing shape with no cracks or dents. The tag has been cut off. Please take a good look at the pictures. The kits we received were in Issued Condition and had suffered from post-issue storage wear. Some of the tool kits had been subjected to humidity and or moisture in long term US Military storage. We went through each kit, cleaning, removing some of the corrosion, and reassembling the kits to the best of our ability. The Kits will be incomplete based on the list of included tools below. ABOUT RUST / CORROSION. THESE KITS WERE EXPOSED TO MOISTURE AT SOME POINT AND SOME OF THE TOOLS STARTED TO RUST. TO CLEAN THE TOOLS WE STARTED WITH CLEANING WIPES AND ON SOME OF THEM, THATS ALL IT TOOK TO GET THEM CLEANED UP. OTHER TOOLS HAD SOME RUST AND PITTING, ON THESE WE SOAKED THEM IN VINEGAR TO NEUTRALIZE THE RUST. AFTER THE VINEGAR BATH WE CLAEND THEM WITH WIPS AND LAID A COAT OF WD40 ON THEM TO PROTECT THE METAL FROM FURTHER CORROSION. SOME OF THE VINEGAR SOAKED TOOLS, DEPENDING ON THE METAL COMPOSITION, TOOK A FORCED PATINA OR GRAY FINISH. THIS IS EXPECTED AND IS USED IN KNIFE FINISHING TO ADD A PROTECTIVE LAYER ON SOME BLADES. OUR SUGGESTION TO MAINTAIN THESE TOOLS IS TO KEEP THEM DRY AND KEEP AN OILED RAG IN THE CASE, IF THE TOOLS NEED TOUCH UP JUST GIVE THEM A WIPE WITH THE OILED RAG.
