Surfaces are smooth and mostly clean, but there is a small pitted patch at one end of the pivot arch. Also, there is roughness above the rear thread nut where a small anvil was originally mounted, but is now long gone. Most likely the bench m. Ount screw originally had a disk. Threads turn freely and adjustments work fine. Jaws close tight and even. About 8 1/2 long with 2 3/4 wide jaws. This vise and positioner are in great working condition. Original red paint on vise is chipping but all mechanisms work flawlessly like you would expect from vintage Wilton tools. Jaws are 2-1/4 wide and open that far as well. Jaws show hardly any use. Best efforts are put forth to describe and represent items accurately.
