9 Steel miter hand plane made by Lie-Nielsen Tool Works. Unused earlier steel model. The total length of the sole measures 10 7/8″ long with a 2″ iron. Superb Cherry knob handle and side knob. As shown in the photos the side knob will screw to the right or to the left side. As shown in the photos the cutting iron has several small rust stain spots as well as 2 or 3 on each side of the body. Having years of age, the bronze lever cap and other bronze fittings have started to take on a nice patina. They were well cared for and kept in a custom built cabinet. Woodpeckers Tools – Box Clamps, Clamping Squares, Miter & Wedges Huge Bundle. These are all precisely milled from Aluminum or Phenolic (8 squares). These are all super helpful when building and framing, and also very useful in big making. Also to note the black Pinnacle items are just rebranded Woodpeckers tools. 8 – 8 Phenolic squares. These are limited releases from Woodpeckers, Im not sure how many times they have been issued over the years but they are not a permanent catalog item. These are awesome, useful for tones of applications. 4 – 6 Precision Aluminum Clamping Squares. 4 – 2.75 Precision Aluminum Clamping Squares. 2 – Miter Clamping Sets. 4 – 3.75 Aluminum Wedges. 4 – BC4 Aluminum Box Clamps (dont have the hand knobs but they are easy to find). Blade, the blade is stamped with the makers mark. 9.5inches / 242mm long along the length of the blade. ANTIQUE & SHARP STANLEY # 9 MITER SHOOT BOARD HAND PLANE, NO HOT DOG BAILEY PAT. Everything has been detail cleaned, inspected and treated with a rust inhibitor, while at the same time preserving the original patina and history of this tool. The cutting iron has been carefully honed and sharpened. A small chip on the sole behind the throat. A couple very small cracks along the seam of the adjustable toe, nothing fatal to function however. The locking screw for the adjustable throat, on the top, is missing an original washer probably, which simply helps to tighten the whole assembly further. As it is now the screw’bottoms out’ just as the it gets tight. A simple fix however, and again not fatal to function. No cracks or damage found anywhere on the rear handle or it’s mounting are. The miter plane took some fine shavings from White Oak and is in good usable / collectable condition. I respond Quickly to questions and inquiries.
