Vintage GEDORE 1/2 Drive Socket Set – Metric, AF & Whitworth – 1970s Original vintage GEDORE professional quality socket set dating from approximately the 1970s. The set contains Metric, AF/Imperial and Whitworth sockets together with a selection of 1/2 drive accessories, all housed in the original fitted blue metal GEDORE case. The tools are marked GEDORE VANADIUM. The Metric socket range includes sizes from 10mm to 22mm, together with AF and Whitworth sizes, making this a particularly useful set for classic car, motorcycle and general engineering use where different types of older fasteners may be encountered. The set includes the ratchet, speed brace, extension bars, universal joint, sliding/T-bar and sockets shown in the photographs. Made during the West German period and a lovely example of the high-quality professional tools for which GEDORE became well known. The original blue metal case is included and retains the printed socket and accessory layout inside the lid. CONDITION: This is a genuine vintage used tool set and therefore has marks, wear and patina consistent with its age and previous workshop use. The metal case also shows age-related wear, marks and areas of surface corrosion/patina. I have deliberately left it in its original condition rather than repainting or restoring it. Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description and show the exact contents and condition of the set. Maker: GEDORE Drive: 1/2 square drive Socket types: Metric / AF Imperial / Whitworth Material: Vanadium steel Period: Approximately 1970s Origin: West Germany period Case: Original fitted GEDORE metal case A very nice vintage professional GEDORE socket set, particularly suitable for a classic car or motorcycle enthusiast, vintage vehicle workshop, engineer, tool collector or anyone requiring Metric, AF and Whitworth sockets in one set.

Rare Antique 10.5″ Hand-Forged Wing Compass / Dividers – Stamped “P S (Peter Stubs, Warrington)? An exceptional, large-scale late 18th / early 19th-century hand-forged wing divider attributed to the renowned English toolmaker Peter Stubs (Warrington, established 1773). This large 10.5-inch example features the early stamped initials “P” on one leg and “S” on the other, applied during forge work. Large 18th-century dividers from Stubs of this scale are far scarcer than standard bench-sized tools. Key Details & Dimensions:? Total Length: 10.5 Inches (26.5 cm) from pivot hinge to tips. Maximum Span: Opens up to an impressive 14 Inches (35.5 cm). Construction: Hand-beaten wrought iron with a peened pivot joint, curved quadrant locking wing arc, straight scribe tips, and original thumbscrew. Markings: Distinctly hand-stamped “P” and “S” on the upper legs. Condition Report: Authentic antique condition with a dark, aged patina and light surface weathering consistent with 200+ years of age. The joint holds firm, the wing nut locks down tightly, and the scribing points remain in sound condition. No cracks, major pitting, or modern repairs. Please review all high-resolution photos for exact condition details.
