This listing is for a hand forged Antique Primitive Blacksmith Made Wood Shingle Splitting Froe. It is uncommon to find these signed by the maker. This is signed on each side by a Mr. As shown, one side is very readable and the other side only the top half of the letters are readable. The froe head is 16 1/2″ L with a13″ L cutting edge and is 11/16 thick down the length of the top. No cracks or repairs in the metal. Comes with a real neat hand made handle, which does slide out of the eye. Handle is 16 L. The total weight of this tool is 6 lbs.
