A farrier’s striking hammer hand forged by Bruce Wilcock on the anvil over 45 years ago. It weighs 5.9 Lbs, and is still in good working order. The faces are pitted but it’s nothing a linisher can’t clean up. It has been sat in my forge for the last 5 years, never been used, and the time has come to let it go, to someone who will use it. In my opinion Bruce makes the best farrier’s hammers in the world. They are a joy to forge with. Bruce said that the early sledge hammers were all hand forged on the anvil, this would explain why it is a lighter weight than the ones he makes now. Reason given was the hammer weighs 5.9 lbs, not 6.5 lbs as I originally guessed. A 150th anniversary edition of a Stanley hand saw. In overall good condition, does not look to have been used. Some mild wear overall from age/storage. The box is a nice with some wear overall, but is solid with a good label. Has a COA also.
