Vintage GEDORE 1/2 Drive Socket Set – Metric, AF & Whitworth – 1970s Original vintage GEDORE professional quality socket set dating from approximately the 1970s. The set contains Metric, AF/Imperial and Whitworth sockets together with a selection of 1/2 drive accessories, all housed in the original fitted blue metal GEDORE case. The tools are marked GEDORE VANADIUM. The Metric socket range includes sizes from 10mm to 22mm, together with AF and Whitworth sizes, making this a particularly useful set for classic car, motorcycle and general engineering use where different types of older fasteners may be encountered. The set includes the ratchet, speed brace, extension bars, universal joint, sliding/T-bar and sockets shown in the photographs. Made during the West German period and a lovely example of the high-quality professional tools for which GEDORE became well known. The original blue metal case is included and retains the printed socket and accessory layout inside the lid. CONDITION: This is a genuine vintage used tool set and therefore has marks, wear and patina consistent with its age and previous workshop use. The metal case also shows age-related wear, marks and areas of surface corrosion/patina. I have deliberately left it in its original condition rather than repainting or restoring it.
