Mercedes-Benz Resistance Substitution Unit. Listed is a Mercedes-Benz resistance substitution unit MB Part # 124-589-09-63-00. It is new, never used. I have two of them and dont need them both. It is a very unique tool for testing circuits in an automotive setting or really any electronics repair environment. It is also accurate and sensitive enough to calibrate variable resistors or to check an ohmmeter. The ohm setting range of use is determined by selecting any combination of sliding switches with a spread of 1 ohm to 125 Mega-ohms with a 1% tolerance range. The female bananas connections at the top of the unit provide resistance output with or without fusing. It is fused at 400ma and can be used (As Resistance Substitution) on circuits up to 250 VDC/AC. A professional tool for someone with the knowledge and skills. To understand its intended use and should last a lifetime if not miss-used.
